The Matt Jacobs Bluesgroup

The Matt Jacobs Blues Group was founded in late 2005 by guitarist Matt Jacobs. His initial interest in guitar playing was fuelled by the genius of Stevie Ray Vaughan, the amazing strat sound of Mark Knopfler and the country licks of Albert Lee. More recently the more 'heavier' sound of Joe Bonamassa en Kenny Wayne Shepherd has influenced the guitar playing of Matt Jacobs.

After playing in numerous rock and commercial bands Matt Jacobs teamed up with a couple of amazing musicians and also good friends in the music scene to create this band. The Matt Jacobs Blues Group.

From this band you can expect a night filled with blues classics, blues originals and tributes to Stevie Ray Vaughan. Heavy bluesrock and ballads will be topped off with laid back shuffles. On this website you can listen to the songs from our demo 'Stevie Ray Vaughan: A tribute'.

The band consists of four musicians. On guitars you'll find the founder of the group Matt Jacobs. The lead singer Wijnand Boon will knock you off your feet with his voice and personality. The groovemaster of the band Michiel van Meeteren plays the bass. And with his powerful beats you'll recognise Matt's brother Bram Jacobs on the drums.
