The Electrophonics

The Electrophonics, founded in 2001, originate from the south of the Netherlands. The band members then already have the necessary experience, for all of them have played in different bands before. Electrophonics choose to play blues, to be precise West coast blues from men like James Harman, Teddy Morgan, Kim Wilson and Rod Piazza.

Soon it becomes clear that this is not just another band. They play a perfect mix of jump blues and swing retro style. Their performances are well criticized and make the Electrophonics become a well-known band, and not just in the neighborhood. They are recognized and respected for their musical approach.

Just when everything is going fine the guitarist decides to quit the band. A break is inevitable and the search for a new guitarist starts. At the same time this break is also used for reorientation.

When looking back, the break turned out well: the Electrophonics are back! Not only a new guitarist has joined the band, but also a horns section, that adds even more swing to the music. Above all, however, the Electrophonics are a band with style. Jump blues is still being played, but there is much space for crossroads.

In this line-up the band succeeds again in pleasing the audience and they are well appreciated in the blues scene. It is obvious that this new Dutch blues band is a fine one. The Electroponics are passionate musicians who want to play music, they really enjoy playing and their goal is to let enjoy their music and performances by as many people as possible.

Imagine: a prominent front man, supported by a powerful rhythm section of drums and bass; add the piano, the guitar and the horns section and you end up with an impressive band.
