Rob Orlemans & Half Past Midnight

 

De Nederlandse blues rock formatie Rob Orlemans & Half Past Midnight is geen onbekende in het muzikale circuit en draait al jaren zeer verdienstelijk mee aan de top van het blues en rock genre. Het power trio is met grote regelmaat te vinden op diverse nationale en internationale podia o.a. in België, Duitsland en USA. De band krijgt niet alleen keer op keer lovende kritieken van zowel de Nederlandse als buitenlandse media maar laat ook het publiek laaiend enthousiast achter.

Na de in 2002 met lovende kritieken ontvangen cd "Live in Chicago" heeft de band een nieuw meesterwerkje afgeleverd en wel "Libertyville". Deze cd ligt sinds 1 juni 2006 op de muzikale planken en wordt nu al bejubeld door de pers. Bij een groot aantal radio stations, waaronder Arrow Classic Rock, staat dit album op airplay list en bij sommige is het zelfs uitgeroepen tot cd van de maand. Het album "Libertyville" staat garant voor prachtige bluesy nummers en is gedeeltelijk in Nederland en de Paragon Studio's te Chicago opgenomen.Niet alleen met zijn eigen band maar ook met de legendarische Curtis Knight, de mentor van gitaarlegende Jimi Hendrix, heeft Rob Orlemans lange tijd getoerd. Samen hebben zij enkele prachtige cd's uitgebracht te weten "Mean Green" (1995) en "On the Road Again" (1996). Orlemans is zondermeer het "gezicht" van de band. Met zijn kenmerkende stijl, een ietwat doorleeft stemgeluid en enerverend gitaarwerk maakt hij van ieder optreden een ware happening.

 De line up van de band bestaat uit Piet Tromp op basgitaar, Han Neijenhuis (bekend van zijn werk bij Tony Spinner) en Rob Orlemans op gitaar en zang. Met deze stevige ritmesectie creëert Orlemans een band die vanaf de eerste minuut vol energie uit de startblokken schiet en garant staat voor een spetterend optreden.

 De nieuwe cd "Libertyville" (juni 2006) is ondergebracht bij het label Silvercoast / Coast to Coast SC 0602 (Label USA: Savage/Silvercoast).

Blues-rock power trio Rob Orlemans & Half Past Midnight has inspired enthusiasm and loyalty among fans around the world through their explosive live performances and exceptional musicianship. The band is a frequent headliner at Blues festivals throughout Europe, and has earned a growing audience for their live performances in the USA, Germany, Sweden, Belgium and at home in The Netherlands.

Their most recent CD release "Live In Chicago" was recorded last Fall in the Blues capital of the world, and features several renown guest performers from Chicago's Blues community.(Jacob Dawson, Tommy McCrackin) The CD has been enjoying extensive airplay on radio stations and blues programs throughout Europe and the USA.
