JB's BluesCrew

Enthusiasm for the blues is what brings this band together. Coming from all corners of the Netherlands , we started with some plug-and-play sessions in 2005 and since then we gradually developed our personal mode of blues-expression. We play it smooth, we play it rough and raw and everything in between.

As you can hear on our CD´s Live at the Plevuus (2006) and Mumbo Jumbo (released in May 2008) we play a lot of traditionals combined with self-penned Straight Rhythm & Blues songs.

JB´s BluesCrew is John ´JB´ Brouwer on vocals and harp, Eric ‘Halfnote' Davidse on guitar, and ´Pluckin´ Hen Schreurs on the bass and Frans ‘Rhythm' Clerx on drums deliver the groundwork of the band.
 

Straight Rhythm & Blues, that´s what we play, in a tasty combination of traditionals and own songs, be it slow, lazy groovy, dirty groovy, swing or up tempo boogie. All great blues songs that will never bore you – nor us, we never get tired of playing 'm!
